New Mexico is not only the Land of Enchantment, but also a Land of Great Leaders. Quality leadership does not just happen. Vision, education, planning, and organizing must occur to solidify and create success stories for our communities.

Leadership New Mexico (LNM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to help build and expand the circle of leadership and to educate and empower our community leaders, business people, and government officials. The organization fosters a network that enables leaders to gather together and tackle issues that are critical to New Mexico. The criteria and selection of participants is based upon a diverse mix of gender, ethnic, geographic, and type of business or industry. Graduates include our state’s newest Congressman, the Lieutenant Governor, four state cabinet-level secretaries, two deputy cabinet secretaries, one state senator, and five state representatives.

Leadership New Mexico is one of 31 similar organizations throughout the country, and will celebrate its tenth anniversary this year.

Beautiful lights and animated figures created a Christmas magic that made it impossible to doubt the existence of that red-suited bringer of joy. Later, at home, we opened one present before spending a sleepless night waiting for the sound of “reindeer paws” on the roof.
