Recently, New Mexico WOMAN spoke to three women affiliated with Financial Network Investment Corporation, a division of ING, one of the largest financial management companies in the world. Ask any woman who has toured the Southwest to share what impressed her during her visit to New Mexico. She will most likely tell you about the beautiful blue sky, the watermelon-colored mountains, the fragrance of chile in the air, and the breathtaking natural stone jewelry. She may even show you the turquoise piece she purchased and brought home.

Carolyn Pollack of Relios Inc., a world-renowned New Mexico jewelry manufacturing company, (now featured regularly on the QVC home shopping network), spoke with delight about her first turquoise purchase, saying, “It was a ring—when I was only five years old. I still think of fun, comfort, and joy when I wear turquoise—I think most people do.

Water Saving Tips

New Mexico ’s need to save water is great. More efficient use of our precious water resources through conservation and re-use increases the potential to preserve and extend limited water supplies and save New Mexicans money. The largest saver is you. Even a 10 to 15 percent reduction in personal water use can save New Mexico’s water and sewer customers billions of dollars over the next 50 years. The effort to conserve water must begin now with each of us.
