Atkinson & Kelsey, P.A. Family Law
By Karyth Becenti
It’s a common assumption that lawyers are stern and to the point when it comes to communicating with clients, but that is not the case at Atkinson & Kelsey, P.A. Law Firm.
That’s due in no small part to the women lawyers at the firm.
David Kelsey had been a sole practitioner focused on family law when he partnered with William Atkinson in 1973 to start a firm that catered to family matters. Atkinson & Kelsey is now known as the first and most experienced family law firm in New Mexico. Tinkertown
By Connie Thompson
It’s the little things that make life fun: a friendly smile, discovering something new, collecting a tiny trinket from a faraway place. These experiences are a regular occurrence in the daily tours given by Carla Ward, owner of Tinkertown Museum.
This delightful and entertaining place (located alongside the Turquoise Trail on the way to Sandia Crest) began as a dream for Carla and her husband, Ross Ward, the creator of the inspiring miniatures and creative sculptures that seem to fill every square inch of this unique destination.
The museum is filled with miniature wonders, ranging from a whimsical little Western town, to a tiny circus full of mini-performers. One favorite not-so-small feature is the 35-foot antique sailboat that once sailed around the world. Even the walls are unique, created from more than 50,000 carefully placed bottles of various shapes, creating a recycled glass miracle. The gift shop is fun too, with treasures to remind visitors of their Tinkertown journey.
