All questions

01 · Fit & sizing

Q1Which waist size should I order?

Start with the size chart above: measure your natural waist and hips and pick the waist size that matches. If you already own jeans that fit well, the waist size on their label is usually a good guide. Every style comes in waist sizes 24 to 32.

Q2How do rigid and stretch denim fit differently?

Rigid denim (100% cotton) feels firm and snug for the first few wears, then moulds to you and relaxes by up to half a size. Choose your usual size and resist sizing up, or they will feel loose later.

Stretch denim (98% cotton, 2% elastane) gives from the first wear and recovers its shape through the day, so it fits true to waist size from the start. The fabric is named in the Details table on every product page.

Q3Mid, high or ultra high rise: what's the difference?

Rise is how far the waistband sits above the crotch seam. Mid rise sits just below the navel, high rise at the natural waist, and ultra high rise above it. Our waistbands are cut to sit close at the back, so they gap less when you sit; check each style's Details for its exact rise.

Q4The length isn't right for me. Should I hem them?

Wear them around the house with the shoes you'll pair them with first. If you hem rigid cotton, wash it once beforehand, since cotton can settle slightly in length, but only once you're sure you're keeping them. Check the inseam guide for each leg shape. Once jeans are hemmed, cut or altered, they can't be returned for a change of mind, so be sure about the size first.

02 · Denim & washes

Q5What are your jeans made from?

Each product page names the fabric and composition. The main families are:

  • Rigid selvedge and rigid cotton denim: 100% cotton, no stretch
  • Organic cotton denim: 100% cotton
  • Comfort-stretch and power-stretch denim: 98% cotton, 2% elastane
  • Lyocell-blend denim: a softer, drapier fabric used on two wide-leg styles

Every pair has reinforced stress points and bar-tacked pockets.

Q6What do the wash names mean?

  • Rinse Indigo and Deep Indigo: dark and saturated; they fade the most with wear
  • Mid Vintage: a lived-in mid blue
  • Light Bleach: a pale, sun-faded blue
  • Washed Black: a soft black that greys gently over time
  • Ecru: undyed, natural off-white

Available washes are listed on each product; not every style comes in every wash.

Q7Will dark denim rub off on my bag or sofa?

It can. Indigo transfer is normal for rinse and deep indigo washes, especially when new or damp. Keep pale leather and upholstery away for the first few wears, and wash dark pairs on their own the first couple of times. It eases off as the excess dye washes out. Natural fading and indigo transfer are part of how denim wears, so they aren't covered as defects.

Q8How do I break in a rigid pair?

Just wear them. Rigid denim softens with body heat and movement: give it a week or two of regular wear before judging the fit. Sitting, squatting and walking help the waist and knees relax into your shape. Wash as little as you can in that time so the creases set where you move.

03 · Care

Q9How often should I wash my jeans?

Less than you think. Air them out overnight, spot-clean small marks with a damp cloth, and wash when they're truly dirty or have lost their shape. Fewer washes keep the colour richer and the fabric stronger.

Q10How should I wash and dry them?

  • Turn inside out and close the fly
  • Machine wash cold with similar colours and a mild detergent
  • No bleach
  • Line dry, away from direct heat

Avoid hot tumble drying: it can shrink cotton and break down stretch fibres, and damage from washing or drying against the care label isn't covered by our quality guarantee.

Q11Will they fade?

Yes, gradually, and that's the point of good denim. Whiskers and fades appear where you move most. Cold washes, washing inside out and line drying slow the process; hot water and frequent washing speed it up. Washed Black softens toward charcoal; Ecru stays light but can pick up dye from darker washes, so wash it separately.

Request a return within 30 days of delivery by emailing [email protected]. Jeans must be:

Q19Can I exchange for another size or wash?

The quickest way is to return the original pair for a refund and place a new order for the size or wash you want, so it isn't held up while your return travels back. If we sent you the wrong item or a defective pair, we'll exchange it for the same item free of charge, subject to stock.

Q20When will I get my refund?

We inspect returns within 3–5 business days of arrival. Once approved, we issue the refund to your original payment method within 2 business days and confirm by email. It typically takes 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.

Q21My jeans arrived damaged or have a defect. What now?

If they arrive damaged or you received the wrong item, email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the jeans, packaging and shipping label. We'll send a free replacement or a full refund, including shipping.

After that, every pair is covered by a 90-day quality guarantee from delivery against manufacturing defects, such as broken stitching, a faulty zip or button, or a loose rivet. We'll repair, replace or refund. Normal fading, indigo transfer and damage from hot drying, bleach or alterations aren't covered.
